June 1st, 2025 - devicethread is excited to announce Leland Hotel, a Stay Cal Hospitality property, onboarding devicethread SmartAccess in Palo Alto, California.This marks the fourth Stay Cal property to deploy devicethread, continuing the group's portfolio-wide rollout of smart access solutions across its California hotels.

Simplifying Access in the Heart of Silicon Valley

Leland Hotel, a blend of modern design and classic California elegance offering curated details in every room and a focus on personalized service, needed a simpler way to manage guest access without adding operational overhead to its front-desk team.

With SmartAccess, Leland now offers guests a smooth, self-serve check-in experience, reducing manual access workflows and reception dependency. SmartAccess was deployed using the property's existing 32 locks, avoiding the cost and disruption of a full hardware replacement. SmartAccess was also integrated directly with Leland's existing Aavgo PMS, allowing guest access to sync seamlessly with reservations and check-in data. The deployment was managed entirely by the property's own team.
