For hotel front office staff, the familiar Cloudbeds PMS (Property Management System) is where they spend the bulk of their workday. Checking in guests or managing reservations are just some of the activities that the front-desk staff manages through Cloudbeds. With Devicethread now integrated with Cloudbeds, guests receive a simple code (via email or text) to enter into the digital lock on their room door. If a guest checks in early, late, changes their room, cancels their stay or even extends their stay, all of those modifications are easily accommodated through this new integration. Additionally, guest access control to the room and other hotel or property facilities would be linked to their stay.
For hotel (or short-term rental property) staff and owners, this integration would enable easy control of the digital IoT infrastructure, starting with locks, but easily extendable to other smart devices.
