This milestone reflects devicethread's continued expansion across independent hospitality properties, where easing day-to-day operations can make a meaningful difference for owner-operated teams.

Simplifying Access Near Starved Rock

Lander's House, a 12-room property offering vacation rentals and accommodations near Starved Rock State Park, needed a simpler way to manage guest access without adding operational overhead or relying heavily on front-desk presence throughout the day.

With SmartAccess, Lander's House has streamlined guest arrivals and reduced dependency on reception, giving guests a smooth, self-serve check-in experience while freeing up the team to focus on day-to-day property management. SmartAccess was deployed using Lander's House's existing lock hardware, avoiding the cost and disruption of a full hardware replacement.

SmartAccess was also integrated directly with Lander's House's existing Cloudbeds PMS, allowing guest access to sync seamlessly with reservations and check-in data.

The deployment was managed entirely by the property's own team, reflecting how straightforward the SmartAccess onboarding process can be even for a small, self-managed property.
