Role

The Demand Generation Specialist will report to the CRO and will drive strategic marketing initiatives that position devicethread as the leader in smart infrastructure management for the hospitality industry with the primary focus of demand generation. This role focuses on building brand awareness, managing communications, and driving demand. Activities must create impactful messaging that resonates with customers, partners and leaders in the hospitality industry resulting in greater recognition of the company, and demand for its solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Management: Develop and maintain consistent brand positioning and messaging across all corporate communications and channels including managing the website, LinkedIn and social media.
  • Public Relations & Media: As appropriate to our stage of company, find cost-effective ways to generate media awareness and secure regular coverage across social media.
  • Thought Leadership: Collaborate with executives to create and promote thought leadership content, including white papers and blogs.
  • Campaigns and Demand Generation: Drive integrated marketing campaigns to elevate the company’s brand through appropriate campaigns including those with partners, and support for events.
  • Cold Outreach: Perform outbound cold calls and emails to identify new business opportunities and qualify potential leads.
  • Lead Management: Nurture and qualify leads until ready to be passed to Sales Executives.
  • Follow-Up & Lead Nurturing: Maintain communication with prospects through follow-up emails and calls, keeping them engaged throughout the sales cycle.
  • Content Creation: Leverage core content from Product Marketing and create corporate-level collateral, website content, social media content, blog posts, customer decks, case studies, and video assets.
  • Market Insights: Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and brand positioning.
  • Measurement: Track and report on key performance metrics to measure the impact of corporate marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 4+ years of corporate marketing experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and explain SaaS products, features, and value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Storytelling Skills: Exceptional writing and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, engaging narratives.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in tools to manage website content and social media channels.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally across product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Mindset: Must be hands-on and able to individually contribute. Must be comfortable creating outsize results with shoe-string resources. Excited to learn and grow. Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with IoT or proptech is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PLG (Product-Led Sales) strategies.
